    Sun.,16 Nov.- The English In Camp for primary schools in LMS organised by the Cocurriculum Unit of the LMS Education Office is a great succcess. It was held at the Kem Tegas Mesra, The National Service Training Camp in Ijok, Batu Kurau from 12 to 14 Nov. Tn Hj Mat Lazim, the LMS District Education Officer officiated the opening ceremony and En Erman b. Tazardin, the Assistant District Education Officer for Language Curriculum officially closed the camp. This fully English fun camp attracted the participation of 217 Year 5 pupils from schools all over the district. The theme was "Friendship, Unity & Harmony" and it indeed gave the participants an opportunity to make new friends and gain new experiences. Lots of fun activities were well planned and conducted with the help of 24 facilitators, all active and efficient English teachers from the district. Fun activities like singing, acting, group presentations, language games, recreational activities and jungle trekking were conducted smoothly and had achieved the objectives of the programme. The District Education Officer reminded the participants to practise using English daily as English is a very important language. Teachers should organise more supporting and enrichment activites like English Camps and language games in schools to instil and develop the love for learning English.
